Easy chair with American walnut frame, back and seat with nylon strings,
headrest with white chamois leather, counterweight in the shape of brass ball, loose seat
cushion with patinated reddish brown leather.Made and stamped by
cabinetmaker Søren Horn, Copenhagen. The use of the strings for the back and seat gives the
chair an appearance of lightness. This together with the head bolster which can be adjusted
via the brass ball counterweight makes for a comfortable well designed chair.
Presented first time at The Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' 29th Guild Exhibition at
Designmuseum Danmark 30th September - 16th October 1955
