The photo series featuring the orchid-like flower in a vase demonstrates a process in which the flowers of meat slowly rot and fall off. All good things must come to an end at some time, including life. Each photograph has been given a subtitle that corresponds to the Book of Genesis in the Bible in which each of the seven days develops on the preceding day. On the seventh day, when light, life, animals and humans were created, God is able to rest. However, Evaristti’s photo series turns the Book of Genesis on its head. On the final few days heaven falls down to Earth, life ceases to exist, God sees that everything is good and disappears.
