CROSSROADS:
West Eden / espace_L
Crossroads presents the works of Julien Spiewak and Dow Wasiksiri, two photographers whose practices intertwine across time and geography to reconsider the relationship between East and West, past and present. Both artists examine how history persists not as a distant narrative but as a living presence within the visual and material fabric of contemporary life. Through the acts of staging, insertion, and rephotography, they open a dialogue between the inherited image and the contemporary body, suggesting that to look is also to inhabit, to claim, and to transform.
RANG RUAM SAMAI
espace_L / West Eden
Rang Ruam Samai is a photo exhibition that continues the concept of “Corps de Style”, by Julien Spiewak, a series he has been developing since 2005. This concept refers to "style furniture"—Louis XV-type pieces reproduced in the 19th and 20th centuries. These pieces of furniture are not merely decorative items; they embody exquisite craftsmanship and highlight the connection between art and everyday life.
Rang Ruam Samai is not only the artist's debut exhibition in Thailand but also a platform for dialogue between Western and Eastern cultures, exploring contrasting perceptions of the human body, furniture, and house. The exhibition delves into history, art, and the urban landscape of Bangkok through three distinct venues: Sirisala Private Thai Villa, Wat Suwannaram Ratchaworawihan, and So Heng Tai.
