West Eden is looking for a gallery assistant to complement the team at West Eden. The job will involve working with world class artists in a dynamic fast paced environment in the heart of Bangkok. There will be opportunities to learn from experts along the way.

Job Description:
To assist in providing an excellent visitor experience for all of our audiences. You will deliver high standards of visitor service by using your knowledge of our collection and temporary exhibition programme, and communicating this enthusiastically with the skills and passion needed to do so effectively, whilst ensuring public safety and security of the building and its contents. You will also be assisting in production of exhibitions and working closely with artists to bring their art to life.
Gallery Assistant Responsibilities:
Proactively welcome, orientate and support visitors in the galleries, in order to help them get the most from their visit. Enhance the visitor experience by demonstrating knowledge of the permanent collection, current and planned exhibitions, shop stock and the local area in a friendly, genuine and helpful manner. Work with our writer to create and manage content for social media and media. Prepare for exhibition and pack art afterwards. Communicate with clients who are interested in purchasing. Coordinate with sponsors and artists. Take care of installation.
Essential Attributes:
- Enjoys working in a public facing role
- Understands retail/shopping experience
- Good communication skills in Thai and English
- Friendly, helpful and enthusiastic personality
- Flexible approach and multi tasker
- Interest in arts
- Available and willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays as required.
- Able to work in Thai and English
Working Hours:
Monday - Tuesday: Off
Wednesday - Friday: 9am to 6pm
Saturday to Sunday: 11am to 6pm
Compensation:
18,000 - 20,000 baht per month depending on experience.
Commission on artworks sold
Three month probation period
